When you joined an MLM business, your sponsor eagerly signed you up and advised you to start recruiting in your business. Now the big question: what kind of MLM sponsor will you be to your recruits? It may be directly related to what kind of MLM sponsor you have.

Now, it must be remembered that a sponsor is somewhat like a parent. They brought you into this MLM business opportunity, so now they're responsible to help you become successful?

The MLM sponsor, responsible for bringing you into the business, must now assume the roles of mentor and cheerleader. He will inform and guide you onto the right path. In order to get back on the path, he must instruct, encourage and admonish you.

Mentor

An MLM sponsor has more experience in this MLM business opportunity than you do, so they indeed do have that important information to teach you.

However, they also have the duty of teaching you the important aspects of making yourself look like a leader to prospects, such as confidence, knowledge and the ability to add value to oneself.

These aspects can definitely lead to success for a new recruit. There may be times when their level of confidence will be low. This could be due either to the lack of good prospects, or assuming the greater responsibility of training their own new recruits.

Cheerleader

An MLM sponsor has to basically nursemaid their new recruits until they have enough confidence and knowledge to work the business on their own. This could come in the form of 3 way calls, conference calls and webinars/teleseminars.

Believing that the recruit is ready to perform at least some leadership tasks, the mlm sponsor will pull away from the recruit. Recruits can then bring in their own recruits and sponsor and train them, using the knowledge and skills that you. their mlm sponsor, taught them.

The sponsor then becomes a cheerleader. At the beginning, he will advise the recruit more often,but even less as time goes by.

Become a cheerleader to keep the positive energy going-that's an mlm sponsor's role. The recruit needs support to let his new recruits know that the business opportunity has a real support system and that this system will help keep them from failing. Everyone benefits from solid team building.
