Alpha MLM Leaders Always Lead By Example
If you’ve been around network marketing for any stretch of time you’ve probably picked those Alpha leaders that you really look up to. These are the one that are never alone and always have a spotlight focused on them. You usually see them surrounded by groups of fans.
Ever wonderd how they got that charming personality? Let me save you the searching and tell you that they were not born that way…probably. It wasn’t easy, but over time those MLM Leaders sharpened their skills to mold themselves into their current manifestation of leadership.
Here are some things to work on while growing into at real leader. Simple, Yes. But a lot of home-based business owners still get it wrong. These items will not only help turn you into an Alpha leader but also show your downline how it should be done. Lead from the front.
Appearance: In order to be a true leader you need to clean up your appearance. Now I’m not saying you need to mosey around in a three-piece suit. I’m saying that if you have a beard, keep it trimmed. You can look sharp even if you’re casually dressed.
Your Attitude: Positivity goes a long way. Be real. People are pretty good at spotting a fake. Be enthusiastic about what you do and the people you’re around. Not jazzed about your business or product? That’s a problem. Keep in mind that no one like a sourpuss.
Look ‘em in the Eyes: When you meet someone look ‘em straight in the eye. Nothing much says “Non-Leader” like someone who can’t even make good eye contact. Don’t be a weirdo and sit staring into someone’s eyes. Be focused on what they’re saying and have the guts to act as a peer if not a leader.
Listen, Listen, Listen: Who like’s the loud guy at the business function? No one. Listen to what people are saying before chiming in. When Bill is speaking, Bill should be your only focus. Invest yourself in the conversation and don’t run it. Believe me. This will really pay-off.
Speak Up: The majority of people in this world do not like public speaking. Ok. That doesn’t mean you can’t speak up while you’re in front of people. Ever run into a Mr. Mumbles? How is that guy going to sell his product or recruit any downline? Make sure you’re heard by putting some authority in your voice.
Yes, these are rather simplified tips. You will be surprised how small fixes can change your leadership potential. Self-improvement is never-ending.
